he Village Giving Circle at Dallas Women’s Foundation (DWF) officially debuted and joined two other giving circles hosted at the DWF: HERitage Giving Circle and Orchid Giving Circle.
At a launch reception held at the Preston Hollow home of Shonn Brown, chair of The Village and member of the DWF’s board of directors, more than $106,000 was raised.
“Through The Village, we empower our members to combine resources so that we are able to award larger, more impactful grants to benefit African American women, men, girls and boys, and our communities overall,” said Brown.
The money collected will be used to advance and promote the philanthropic efforts of African American women via funding sent to outside organizations and initiatives.
