Economic Leadership Council

In 2013, Texas Women’s Foundation founded the Economic Leadership Council (ELC) to bolster its commitment to advancing women’s leadership. As a collective force, ELC members serve as influential advocates, both within their organizations and the community, actively shaping positive change in the women’s talent pipeline.

Nineteen

Inspired by our 19 trailblazing founders, Nineteen unites philanthropists of all levels to embody their legacy of supporting women and girls throughout Texas. Through diverse monthly and annual contributions, this collective actively engages in philanthropy, educates themselves on community issues, and explores programs and services addressing those concerns.

Economic Issues for Women in Texas

Texas Women’s Foundation is dedicated to conducting comprehensive research that delves into the economic challenges confronting women and families across the state. This statewide research focuses on four pivotal pillars—child care, healthcare, housing, and education—acknowledging their substantial roles in contributing to economic disparities faced by women. The insights derived from this research serve as a valuable resource, disseminated among community leaders, political figures, philanthropic entities, and corporate leaders.

To deepen the impact of our research, Texas Women’s Foundation is committed to sharing findings that inspire positive social change.
