Texas Women’s Foundation’s upcoming Leadership Forum & Awards Celebration will feature ABC News contributing anchor Deborah Roberts.

The forum will be held at the Omni Hotel on April 30. The day will include an empowerment program for teen girls, a leadership forum, and conclude with an awards celebration and dinner led by Deborah Roberts, ABC’s senior national affairs correspondent and contributing anchor for “20/20.”

“We invite you to join us on April 30th as we listen, learn and are charged with uplifting our community and our colleagues,” Preston Hollow neighbor, Sakina Rasheed Foster, said. ‘Starting with our #BESTSELF program, our community will share its collective wisdom and empower the next generation to become the best versions of themselves and leaders in their circles of influence.”

Co-chairs for the event include Foster, Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner and Office Managing Partner and Veronica Torres Hazley, founder of Hey Chica.

For over 45 years, Maura Women Helping Women Award has been given to over 225 individuals who are a catalyst for change for women and girls. Brenda Jackson, selection co-chair and Carrie Freeman Parson, TXWF chairwoman and selection co-chair, led the committee to select this year’s honorees. During the event, Heather Bellino, Marsha Clark, Adeeba A. Raheem and Jamila Thomas will be honored with the award. The Young Leader Award will also recognize trailblazers who create paths of opportunity for women. Cimajie Best and Hilda H. McClure will be recognized.

“Our program then shifts to our honorees who will inspire you with their stories,” Haley said. “Their roles in academia, nonprofits, leadership and business have impacted thousands of women and girls and their families to create a better community for all. Plus, we’re honored to have Deborah Roberts of ABC be a part of the conversation.”
