Dr. Hope Jahren, a geobiologist and best-selling author of Lab Girl, spoke with students at Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School on Friday. Jahren was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2016. Her memoir was praised for its discussion of the discrimination faced by women in science and technology. Prior to meeting with the students, she was the featured speaker at the Dallas Women’s Foundation 32nd Annual Luncheon at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
