Rounding the curve for the final run of 2019, a lot of nonprofits are making news about the 2019-2020 fundraising. Among the first is the Texas Women’s Foundation. TWF President/CEO Ros Dawson Thompson revealed that the Foundation’s board will be chaired by Shonn Brown, who co-chaired the TWF Annual luncheon in 2017 and “helped establish The Village Giving Circle” at TWF. Just this past year, attorney Shonn joined Kimberly-Clark as its VP and deputy general counsel.
Joining Shonn on the board’s executive committee will be Immediate Past Chair Caren Lock, Ros Dawson Thompson, Cheryl Alston as secretary, Michelle Hudson as treasurer/finance chair, Shawna Wilson as governance chair, Toni Muñoz-Hunt as programs chair, Beverly Goulet as investment advisory chair, Betsy Healy as advocacy chair and members-at-large Keri Kaiser, Sara Madsen Miller, Bonnie Clinton and Hilda Galvan.
New members of the Foundation, who will be serving three-year terms are Hattie Hill, Cynt Marshall, Sarah K. Miller, Tricia Miller, Neena Newberry, Debbie Rollins and Lissa Smith.
According to Ros, “We are thrilled to have these talented women join our board, which is one of the most diverse and inclusive in the region. These new members, along with our executive committee and other board members, bring their expertise, passion for our mission and networks of influence to support our work throughout North Texas and the state.”
