MOVE (“Mobilize, Organize, Vote, Empower”) Texas is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, grassroots organization working to increase access in underrepresented youth communities through civic education, leadership development, and issue advocacy. An important focus for MOVE is voter registration and engagement.

The group was created in 2013 by students at the University of Texas at San Antonio who wanted to increase younger voter participation in local elections. Since that time, MOVE has expanded to chapters in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Laredo, and Seguin.

From the MOVE website: “We are working hard to build a Texas that believes in its young people and reflects our values. We believe that every young Texan should be able to have their voice heard at the capitol, their city halls, and at the ballot box.”
