According to Texas Women’s Foundation President/CEO Roslyn Dawson Thompson,

“We are fortunate to live in a state with an exceptional quality of life, low unemployment and a strong economy. Yet despite our prosperity, too many Texans lack opportunities and suffer economic hardship. That is particularly true for Texas women and girls.

“From the age of 18, Texas women are disproportionately living in poverty – and that directly impacts the future of our workforce and our economy. Women are also dramatically underrepresented in leadership positions, despite the abundant evidence showing the significant economic and social benefits of women’s leadership in business and the community.

TEXAS WOMEN’S FOUNDATION*
“At Texas Women’s Foundation, we aim to Transform Texas for Women and Girls – so that all Texans can prosper. We are grateful to our many generous donors and partners, whose support enables our groundbreaking work in research, advocacy, grants, and programs benefiting women, girls and families. This holiday season, our wish is that women and men in North Texas and across the state are inspired to join with us, and invest in the power of women and girls to build stronger, more equitable communities and to contribute to a more prosperous Texas for generations to come.”
