Texas Women’s Foundation is proud to release the fifth edition of Economic Issues for Women in Texas 2024. This year’s research highlights the pivotal role women play in the Texas economy – the strongest in the nation. It also illuminates the critical need to address the challenges that threaten women’s economic security: access to health care and health insurance; affordable child care and stable housing. Most importantly, the report includes policy recommendations aimed at employers, community leaders and lawmakers to help drive the social and economic changes necessary to allow Texas women and girls to thrive.
