Every act of hatred is an attack on our shared humanity, and Texas Women’s Foundation stands strong in our responsibility to protect and support human rights. Today, we grieve for the victims of the recent murders in Atlanta, Georgia. We recognize that the past year has witnessed more than 3,800 tracked incidents of anti-Asian shunning, slurs and physical attacks – a disproportionate number of which were directed toward women. Today, we call on everyone to add our voices to the collective condemnation of ongoing, escalating acts of hate and violence against the Asian American Pacific Islander community. Today, and in all the days ahead, we will continue to stand up and speak out together against hate and discrimination in all forms.
