Dallas Women’s Foundation will present Maura Women Helping Women and Young Leader Awards at its annual dinner May 9 at the Omni Dallas Hotel.
The honorees are: Hind El Saadi El Jarrah, Ph.D., executive director of the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation, Madeline McClure, LCSW, founding CEO of TexProtects, the Texas Association for the Protection of Children, Tonya Parker, 116th Civil District Court judge in Dallas County, and Sheriff Lupe Valdez, the highest-ranking law enforcement officer in Dallas County.
“These women have dedicated themselves to creating opportunities for women and girls to accomplish their goals, and their stories are an inspiration to us all,” said president and CEO Roslyn Dawson Thompson.
Capital One will present the Young Leader Award to Cynthia Nwaubani, CPA, relationship manager for Wells Fargo & Company.
Co-chaired by Cheryl Alston and Laura V. Estrada, the evening will feature speaker Carla Harris, vice chairman of global wealth management and senior client adviser at Morgan Stanley and author of Strategies to Win and Expect to Win.
